FAQs
-
What is the shelf life of the pickles? Our pickles have a shelf life of 3-4 months refrigerated, pickled hot sauce and bloody mary mix 2-3 months refrigerated, and kimchi variations will taste best if enjoyed within 1 month.
-
Do they need to be refrigerated?Yes, our pickles do not contain any preservatives and will taste best when refrigerated. Although they remain perishable when left in room temperature we recommend immediate refrigeration to maintain the quality of our product.
-
Can I drink the brine?Yes, we highly recommend drinking our pickle brine for the nutritious benefits, including hydration for the body due to the high electrolyte content, it can prevent cramping before and after workouts or running, and is also known to cure hangovers! Many customers drink the brine alone as a detox drink, as a base for salad dressings, or a marinade for your proteins as a meat tenderizer. You may also pair it with your favorite spirit for an easy cocktail with ice or pickletini.
-
I can't get the jar open, what method do you recommend?"If the lid is metal you may tap the lid with a spoon and run it under hot water. If the lid is plastic you may run it under hot water, place a rubber band around the lid for an easier grip and continue to twist the lid open.
-
Are your pickles fermented? We offer a variety of fermented and pickled veggies. The Savory Korean jar and a variety of our kimchi products are crafted using the fermentation process, while the pickles are made in a vinegar brine with fresh herbs, peppers, and spices.
-
Do you recommend enjoying alone or with food? Both! Our pickles have layers of flavor and are meant to stand alone, but also pair well with a variety of cuisines. Many of our customers have mentioned they enjoy the pickles straight from the jar but have also shared fun pairings such as cheese & charcuterie, grilled barbecue, breakfast foods, rice & protein, pasta, and more.
-
What can I eat the relish with?Anything and everything! This is not your typical relish you might only associate with hot dogs. Please think of our relish as a chimichurri, hot sauce, or salsa. It is made fresh in small batches so we recommend refrigeration and you may enjoy with any meal or snack. Some ideas: breakfast foods, sandwiches, spring rolls, burritos, tacos, pizza, pasta, burgers, rice + protein, tortilla chips with avocado, the list goes on!
